Wuhan sees big increase in entry, exit trips
A total of 502,300 exit and entry passenger trips and 3,080 flights have been recorded via Wuhan exit and entry frontier inspection station by May 30 this year, up 286.14 percent and 114.18 percent over the same period of last year, respectively, official data showed.
The outbound destinations for Wuhan people are mainly Thailand, Singapore, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Hong Kong, while the inbound arrivals are mainly made by foreign visitors from South Korea, the United States, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Australia.
In recent years, Wuhan has seen increasing number of foreign tourist groups choose it as their first stop in China. From Jan. to May this year, the number of inbound trips made by tourist groups at the airport reached 12,000, four times as many as that of last year. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
