Airlines to add flights in Wuhan for summer travel peak
Airlines are planned to add or open new domestic and international flights at the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport to meet the rising travel demand during summer vacation, local media reported on June 25, 2024.
China Southern Airlines is scheduled to add new flights from Wuhan to Urumqi, Hohhot, Lanzhou, Yinchuan, Zhuhai, Hangzhou, Altay and Manzhouli. Daily flights from Wuhan to Guangzhou, Daxing(Beijing), Shenzhen and Urumqi will be increased to ten, seven, five and four to five, respectively.
For the summer travel peak, China Eastern Airlines is preparing to open Wuhan-Hailar, Wuhan-Yibin, Wuhan-Fuzhou and other new air services, while increase flights from Wuhan to Rizhao,Yinchuan,Shenzhen and Taizhou, as well as flights from Lanzhou, Kunming and Wenzhou to Wuhan.
In addition, China Eastern Airlines launched the regular round-trip air service from Wuhan to Singapore on June 21, which will be operated on every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. So far, the air company has opened eight international and regional air routes, linking Wuhan to Sydney, Tokyo, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Taipei and Kaohsiung.
China Southern Airlines has opened five international and regional routes in Wuhan, with two weekly flights to London (on Wednesdays and Sundays), two weekly flights linking with Guangzhou and San Francisco (on Mondays and Thursdays), three weekly flights to Dubai (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays), one weekly flight to Taipei (on Fridays), and three weekly flights to Kaohsiung (on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays).
