The 2024 Wuhan Global Investment Promotion Conference was held on June 26, in Wuhan, Hubei’s capital city.

More than 120 guests, including representatives of the world's top 500 enterprises, large multinational corporations, 16 industrial chain owners and their related enterprises, as well as science and technology innovative enterprises, gathered together to share views on cooperation and common development.

165 key projects with a total investment of over 201.8 billion yuan were signed on the site, involving new-generation information technology, automobile manufacturing and services, high-end equipment manufacturing, biomedics and health, new materials, green environmental protection, business services, new energy and other key industrial fields.

Statistics showed that the total number of world's top 500 enterprises in Wuhan reached 310 in 2023, ranking first among cities in central China. From January to May this year, the paid-in investment in Wuhan increased by 25.8 percent, and the total volume of foreign trade expanded by 8 percent. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
