The 18th Hubei (Wuhan) - Taiwan Week, jointly hosted by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, opened on October 26 in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province.

More than 1,100 guests including political figures, business groups, grassroots people, youth representatives, as well as experts, scholars and journalists from both sides of the Taiwan Strait participated in the event.

A total of 46 economic and trade cooperation projects were signed between Hubei and Taiwan at the opening ceremony.

This year’s Taiwan Week takes Wuhan as the main venue and Yichang, Xiangyang and Huangshi as branch venues. A total of 14 activities, relating to economic and trade cooperation, grassroots exchanges and youth interaction, will be organized during the four-day event. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
