The eighth session of Melody of Yangtze River: World Famous Music Institution Exchange Performance Season opened on Thursday in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province.

This year's event features artists from 26 world-renowned institutions and orchestras, including the Royal College of Music in the U.K., the Frankfurt Radio Symphony in Germany, and the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Hungary.

Musicians are expected to bring 18 high-level concerts, 20 professional public classes, academic lectures and music workshops in one month.

The event has been held for seven consecutive years, gathering 63 institutions and orchestras from around the world, and offering 288 concerts, master classes, academic lectures and workshops. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
