The 2026 Wuhan Marathon will take place on March 22, 2026. Its registration is open from 2:00 p.m. on December 12 to 2:00 p.m. on December 19, the organizing committee said on Friday.

The number of participants will reach 30,000 for next year's event. The event consists of two categories: full marathon (42.195 km) and half marathon (21.0975 km). The number of runners will rise to 17,000 for the full marathon, and 13,000 for the half marathon, according to officials.

Running course will feature several tourist attractions in Wuhan, starting from the office building of China Three Gorges Corporation beside the Yangtze River and ending at Qingshan Bund. It will cover all seven central districts in the city for the first time.

Participants can make registration on the official website (http://www.wuhanmarathon.org) or on the designated APP "马拉马拉". If the number of registrants exceeds the maximum limit, a draw will be made. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
